We’re organising a fabulous community seed swap on Saturday March 10th at Easton Community Centre. Its shaping up really well with food, music, talks, plants, produce and crafts for sale all lined up, as well as lots of donated seeds to exchange / give away.
BUT we’re short of people to help at the event. CAN YOU LEND A HAND? There are all sorts of roles the need doing on the day and in the lead up to it. If we all muck in together it will be sociable and fun.
Do you fancy . . . .
Helping prepare / serve food in the cafe
Helping prepare food / bake cakes beforehand
Taking donations on the door for a couple of hours
Workshops and films room – making sure the films / talks run to time, introducing short films, and making sure the projector works!!
Painting banners / making decorations for the venue (we’ll set up a time before the event to do this)
Meeting and greeting stall holders and helping them set up around 11am – 12.00
giving general help with setting up in the morning
Helping clear up after 4pm
Taking photographs!
being the ‘seed guardian’ – Making sure donationed seeds are organised into the right boxes and that they’re displayed clearly. Chatting to people who come and swap them.
Being generally handy with a big roll of gaffa tape to help with any glitches that come up happen.
We’d LOVE you to get involved.
