Transition City Bristol – What now? by nadiacatkinhillman

Transition City Bristol was launched at the Trinity last week with over 150 people attending to hear a talk by Dr Chris Johnstone. In the discussion afterwards it was clear that there is a real energy for Transition in Bristol. So much is already happening in local communities and as a city we’d rather ride the wave of change than get swamped by the rising tide. The ideas, skills, knowledge and enthusiasm we need to plan and prepare for Energy Descent are out there in the community. Let¢s get it together.
Transition City Bristol aims to help facilitate that change and create a space for people to work together to find and act on solutions.
People are starting to ask how they can help us do this so we’re holding an initial meeting for anyone wanting to get involved on a practical level.
7pm Tuesday 3rd April at the Scout Boat house, Redcliffe Wharf, off Redcliffe Parade

Whatever your skills or experience, if you can offer some time and energy come and find out how you can get involved.
Transition City Bristol is run by volunteers.
It’s what we make it!!!
Email or turn up at 7pm. Tea provided, please bring cake to share!

Hi Nadia,

Could you please update your listing? Or maybe it’s time for a new article about us (hint hint…) – our web address is and the one listed here is about to die forever…

Hey Transition Bristol, Dunk here, one of the forming TRANSITION-HUB team from Barcelona. I imagine we will be in contact soon, once we start getting a bit more organised and active. We are still in our baby steps, but we are geting there and there is a lot of very strong things already growing here…. So we will see, I came across this link, via a “Possibly related post” from article I just wrote regarding Transition @ BCN and related issues: Bold, Beautiful, Blooming Barcelona asks: What would it mean to win?
Bold, Beautiful, Blooming Barcelona asks: What would it mean to win? It includes The Gracia community garden radio documentary trilogy and accompanying article. (original article was posted on indymedia ireland)
