Dear All

Don’t you just love it when something great is happening in the neighbourhood? With an excellent weather forecast to support it, the Montpelier Bean Feast (this Saturday 2.00 – 9.00 pm) will be an inspiring event for us to enjoy and be proud of.

There is much to look forward to such as two entertainment stages (Baked Bean and Runner Bean) and activities including crafts, a procession, The ‘Local Chef Bean Cook Off’ and games for all.

Successful local events are key to Transition and building a more sustainable future  and much organisation and experience has already gone into making The Bean Feast a truly Montpelier event.  However, just a few more people coming forward now and giving up a little time to be stewards on the day (nothing too arduous don’t worry) will really enable things to run more smoothly.

please think. Can you steward the road closures and a possibly do bit of ‘walkabout’ for just 2 hours on the day? If so, great!  Call Sally on 07866 748193 or email her on and she will arrange roles and times.

Final details will be emailed and a briefing sheet will be available. Additionally you will be able to wear a non-organic High Viz vest  for a few hours as well as making your own contribution towards resurrecting a Montpelier tradition and strengthening the neighbourhood.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on Saturday.

Check out the event details on if you need to know more.
