Eastside Roots, not for profit co-op running a Community gardening hub at
Stapleton Road Train Station in Easton and food growing garden at Trinity, needs

Friday 25th September 9pm to 4am: ‘Global Dance party’ @ Trinity Centre,Trinity
Road, Old Market – £7.50/more on the door. Tickets on sale: Ticket shop,
Eastside Roots, Easton Thali Cafe & Bristol Green Stores in St Nicks market &
109 Chessel Street, Bedminster

Featuring:

Tofu Love Frogs (www.tofulovefrogs.co.uk) –Celtic folk punk; fast fiddle
festival frenzy, think Pogues, Levellers, Kilnaboy. These guys are legendary;
they were the brains behind the Hackney Free Festival in early 90s and their
founder, Chris Tofu went on to form Continental Drift, Lost vagueness & now
Shangri-la. A must see.

Mankala (www.myspace.com/mankala) – Hi-energy 8 piece Afro-Caribbean
fusion/sunshine music! ‘….essential, soul-preserving rhythms that will always
triumph’ (Venue)

Fuzia (www.myspace.com/fuziabristol ) – 8 piece Gypsy Balkan dance
riot…you will not be disappointed.

Plus: Balkan Xpress DJs, Eastside Roots DJs playing the best world beats &
festival favourites, Occasional Cinema (www.myspace.com/occasionalcinema)
screening an outside cinematic mix tape, fancy dress (optional but prizes for
best outfits) Gypsy wedding vs Garden of Eden (think feathers, top hats, layered
skirts or green (wo)man, woodland nymphs, flowers), raffle, stalls
and wholesome cafe.

This one is not to be missed and all money raised will be used to put on a Free
Community Harvest Fete:

Saturday 4th October 12.30 to 7.30pm: Eastside Roots Free Community Harvest Fete
– Stapleton Road Train Station, Easton

There will be music, talks, workshops, children & youth activities, plant sale,
games, men’s group, storytelling, poetry, arts n craft stalls, circus, 10-18
year old talent contest, holistic health treatments and more to be announce –
